NO have partnered up with Laura Burhenn to create this stunning cover of Leonard Cohen’s classic.
It’s almost shocking to hear NO alongside a female that hasn’t caused them any immense pain. NO retain their eerie beginnings on the cover, with echoed, lonely guitars, blended with gentle ooh’s. The piano tones to greet Laura Burhenn are my only complaint, as for such a beautiful song, covered so magnificently, a deeper focus on the piano throughout, rather than a few seconds ever so often could have only improved the song further. For a free download though, only a few weeks before their album drops; NO are setting the bar dangerously high for themselves.
