It’s been a while since Kult Country have officially released new music, over a year actually. The echoed reverb of Slowburn is to reminiscent in Trembling Moon, with a more conceptualised approach to contemporary indie music. It’s a lot cleaner than the grit of Amongst The Dead Forever which had harsh guitar screams, instead on Trembling Moon, the guitars are kept quitter with ringing echoes played as background noise as the concentration of the riding bass sends Trembling Moon closer to Peace’s new style, with a less pop styled approach, familiar to fellow Sways band, MONEY. If you read Velvet regularly you knew I’d get MONEY in somehow.
Trembling Moon is out on June 30th through No Self Records, on both digital formats, and a very limited 7″ format.
