BBC Introducing… Oh Volcano

The combination of ex-General Fiasco brothers, Owen and Enda Strathern; Oh Volcano’s pop style draws inspiration from early electronic influences as well as the duo’s previous indie rock past. Track Oceans, is the band’s biggest hit to date, with several late night plays on the Radio 1 night show (obviously), thanks to it’s sketchy, neo-wave pop sounds. Playing on the same days as Rae Morris and Happyness, Oh Volcano will be loading the BBC Intro stage with the pop energy that Birmingham band JAWS provided last year.

  • Sounds like: Passion Pit, Patterns, Thumpers
  • Extra Info: The band’s debut headline show in Belfast was last saturday, so they’ve already got some practice in with big crowds.
