10 Years of Transgressive Records (23-30)

This September, the Transgressive Records team celebrate their tenth anniversary! So as a thank you to everyone, they’re releasing a  new free download every day, either a rare or never before released track from current and past Transgressive artists.

So yesterdays (23rd September) was a bit odd in comparison to the other 22 days. The Noisettes had not one but two versions of the same song released. The first version of Rifle Song (the UK version), features classic punk rock influences, with vocals screams and broken vicarious riffs. While the USA version (the unheard version), is systematically Noisettes, with sensual Jazz history flowing through the steady basses, before a Band Of Skulls’, guitar breakdown diverts to the heavy side of this ‘punk-jazz’ band, rapidly taking over for a more controlled take on the UK’s version.

It’s definitely one of the best free tracks Transgressive have released yet, so make sure you get both versions, either through the link down below, or through ye olde soundcloud.
