The B-side accompanying the London group’s debut single Powder, Bathed In Light doesn’t have the catchy guitar solos that Powder does, but it does have a completely different feel to the A-side, with a creepy, trickling fluidity, that subdues into catchy choruses with lyrics that are largely understandable for a change. Possibly too tightly screwed synths, create chaotic sounding whirls, adding to the stranger than normal feel on Bathed In Light. It’ll be perfect for indie kids on Halloween.
Powder is out through Transgressive Records, 27th October, available both physically (7″) and digitally.
