Remember The Greeks back in 2011? No not the Greeks from Europe, Is Tropical. It’s been over a year since their second LP I’m Leaving hit the airwaves with Dancing Anymore, and now the London, indie dance group are back.
Piecing their latest album Black Anything, into five pieces, the first taste from Is Tropical comes from Crawl and On My Way. Both contrasts from one another as Crawl plays on deep, harsh electro cuts, that abide to the rule of industrial rave music on Skins, while On My Way presents itself as a haunted, less projectile Crystal Castle track. Both tracks play on alternate ambience, with Crawl rising to the occasion of dim lighting, and epileptic strobe underneath cryptic bass. While On My Way feels more like the harsh acid trip, most ravers will know all to well.
Black Anything Pt. 1 is out December 8th.
