A German duo, who’s debut track proves you don’t have to be established to make something massive.Lea Porcelain are the composition of Julien Bracht and Markus Nikolas residing in Frankfurt, Germany. Creating modern post-punk that dips into the 00’s indie/emo style of Bloc Party; their debut track Similar Familiar is a balance between dark techno and melancholic post-punk, with an acute amount of 00’s hysteria. The ‘obvious’ relations to Joy Division doesn’t feel at all obvious, as the darker themes of the Manchester post-punk stars are hidden deep within Similar Familiar, with a top coat of hypnotic, glum, neo-rock. Across the five minutes of Similar Familiar, ripples of paranoia and flickering, manipulated guitars, create a vibe familiar to Suuns 2020, with less seizure inducing waves of bass and more climactic calamities.
