The second single taken from Waxahatchee’s, (aka Katie Crutchfield) latest album Ivy Tripp, is the gut bursting, Under A Rock.Just pushing past the two minute mark, Under A Rock contains the collective, cool rock of 80’s American indie greats, The Pixies and Violent Femmes. With a display of a full band being overhauled by Katie’s punk-esq vocals, Under A Rock is a complete counter opposite to the more chilled out pace of first single Air.
