The Maccabees – Marks To Prove It

It’s been three years since the Londoner’s released their last record, Given To The Wild, and now it’s time for album four, with lead track Marks To Prove It.

With the velocity on Marks To Prove It matching tracks such as X-ray and Diamond Solitaire from their debut release Colour It In, it’s clear to see that the finely tuned, atmospheric tracks of Given To The Wild, may not be a common occurrence on their fourth record. Clocking in over four minutes, Marks To Prove It provides enough whaling guitar riffs, spiralling down infinite, bottomless holes on top of earworm bass hooks, to make up for the three year wait. Scaling rapid intakes of pure ecstatic energy and monumentally huge build ups, Marks To Prove It provides 2015 with a fresh faced, blast from the past.

A short UK tour of intimate gigs has also been announced for the middle of May, at the following venues:

Birmingham Institute (May 11th)

Glasgow O2 abc (May 12th)

Manchester Ritz (May 13th)

London Coronet (May 14th)
