The London based band give us all another peek into their highly anticipated debut album, this time channelling their 80’s pop meets 90’s house and electronica in the form of Seven Sisters.
It’s a constant to-and-fro with Real Lies when it comes to album talk. They’ll give you the smallest glimpse of hope and then throw a single at you instead. However we’ll happily take a single when it means Seven Sisters. Cuts between rising crescendos of bouncing piano rhythms to soaring electronic cuts and synthetic drum beats, it’s an ode of a love of the 90’s greatest selling points. A complete throwback to the UK’s 90’s pop/house scene (I imagine), it’s a crossover between the illusive beats and lyrics of New Order and the mainstream, dance-ability of the likes of Kylie and The Spice Girls. If that doesn’t sound perfect to any pre-millennial’s, then you need to revisit the 90’s scene.
