Maybe not quite as ‘intense’ as TWOD, but Bristol three-piece New Carnival, clearly know how to piece together a instant pop hit. Crafted in the three-four minute guide, New Carnival provide well seasoned blends between their lyrics and 80’s influenced guitars. Melodic grooves in the bass provide the close link to TWOD, while it’s the choruses of those 80’s layered guitar hooks, that lead Where Do You Wanna Go to the immediacy of ‘pop-hit’ level; similar to the likes of recent acts such as Max and the Moon or Bad Sounds, then to the bigger heights of The Smiths, with gorgeous dripping tones throughout.
The band’s debut EP isn’t out until November 20th, but it’s certain to be completed with equally catchy, pop bangers.
