This week we bring to you London ‘aggro-grunge’ group, HYLA.
While the single Cigarette may have come out in December, we’re bringing it to your attention now (you’re welcome in advance). Cigarette is the group’s debut single, a blend of heavy-rock, punk and grunge influences combined, with some inspiration from Marmozets and Hacktivist. A three and half-minute belly-acher, Cigarette throws fist in the air, and heads to the ground with mosh ready hooks and killer drum beats, as well as vocals to match the ferocity of Blood Red Shoes’ Laura Carter and White Lung’s Mish Way, with choruses ready to explode at Download.
