Brutal, uninterrupted fights amplified by sinister bass hooks; Rendez-vous’ Distance is unfathomably exciting.
As quite the pacifist, the video for Distance had me on edge for its three minutes and fifty-five seconds, but not because of the violence. “1,2,3,4!” and then a complete burst into gritty bass hooks, that ensue malevolent idioms, while ecstatic guitars rain energy and madness onto the eccentric opening moments.
If Bela Lugosi’s Dead received electro-shock therapy, with a swift course of ambient, hysteric drones that ring out in a state of chaotic anarchy, you wouldn’t even come close to the excitement of Rendez-Vous’ Distance.
Rendez-Vous second EP Distance, is out April 28th on Avant! Records.
