It’s never a dull moment from SKOTT, especially when it’s covered in Glitter & Gloss.
The first single in 2017 from the Swedish wonder, SKOTT continues to play around with her tumultuous sound, remaining as difficult as ever in narrowing down a specific genre.
Glitter & Gloss when focused on, sounds like a culmination of previous singles Amelia and Lack Of Emotion. The harsh, immediate, buzzing electronics of Amelia charge through in sudden bursts, while Lack Of Emotion’s disco-pop, dance-ability is a constant throughout her new track.
The contrast with SKOTT’s love of sharp electronica, countering her soft in comparison vocals, continues the alluring effect that comes from the intriguing world the Swede is curating, both musically and visually.
Glitter & Gloss is unapologetic with its brazen nature, happily placing itself in-between the worlds of indie, pop and electronica. Battling it out with the sirens of Hollywood, Glitter & Gloss challenges any anthemic track to see which can induce the most goosebumps with deep-bass electronica.
Glitter & Gloss is out March 18th, via Chess Club/RCA Records.
