London duo Majik continue to create illustrious pop music, now releasing Paralysed from their double AA side.
Partnered with a reworking of Friends (Under the Influence), Paralysed is the antithesis of it’s more jubilant brother. Utilising the more drawn out sounds of previous release Closer, Paralysed progresses into a mixture of drum driven rhythms which help pick up the pace of the track, while Marcus’ breathy vocals remain poised and strong against heavy melancholic synths. Still projecting the delicacy that Majik fans will have come to love from the group, Paralysed balances its heavy feeling narrative with skilful production that could find the track littered across a number of dramatic TV moments.
