The first track from Melbourne artist Will Cuming this year, following his Viet Rose release in 2016, Comfortable’s nature of uplifting electronics is invigorating to the core.
It’s been a while since we’ve had anything new from Lanks and Comfortable is clearly a sign of several months work. Written from the perspective of a friend who works within the mental health industry, Comfortable is an ambiguous piece, seeking to uplift and motivate, while simultaneously sharing the difficulties that mental health workers face.
With Cuming’s electronic flare added together with kick drums and sparkling synths, whichever side of the coin you choose, Comfortable comes with serious momentum for both Lanks and the change in attitude towards mental health issues.
Lanks will also be setting out on a national single tour, performing across August at a selection of intimate venues.
