Using Just Lust as the basis for Llovers’ 2018, it’d be safe to say that the five piece are looking to really take over this year. In comparison to their brighter, cheerier releases, Feeling Sound and I Don’t Mind, the indie-rock/pop sounds of 2017 is facing a slight rebrand, focusing on more melodic, dreamy tones instead of a continuous stream of upbeat riffs. Not to say Just Lust is dull and slow in comparison, Llovers channel a palatable approach for slow burners, seizing their quiet, tender moments before a momentous break of guitar solos reigns in Just Lust’s final moments spectacularly.
