The Teeside lads showed throughout 2018 that whether it be indie bangers or delicate love songs you were looking for, they had all bases covered. Now heading into 2019, the five piece look set to have another stellar year, marking themselves as pioneers for the rising North East indie scene.
With fellow Northerners Plaza, marking the beginning of a developing indie scene in the North East back in 2016, Llovers are taking the next step in bringing the Northern scene to all of the UK. Charging into 2019 with their most recent single Go Get Her, Go Getter, Llovers’ charming indie pop will easily become the backdrop to most young teens festival seasons, following the likes of Peace and Sundara Karma; catering to the need for massive, indie anthems, that will be the talk of all the indie-stages this coming year. B-side to Go Get Her’, Without You, will be spearheading the more delicate, sway with your friends/partner moments alongside previous single Just Lust, a volcanic eruption of screaming riffs hidden beneath a delicate layer of glinting chords.
But for those who are eager for something new from the Teeside-rs, their debut EP is set for release within the start of the new year, alongside a number of gigs to be announced, as well as their debut headlining show at The Lending Room in Leeds on Feburary 6th. So for now, get your brains warped to the sound of glistening indie guitars and prepare for Llovers to devour 2019.
