Saltwater Sun – The Great Deceiver

Taken from their recent EP of the same name, Reading’s Saltwater Sun are going above and beyond in showcasing that their brand of indie pop is simple unreachable on the shoulders of ‘The Great Deceiver.

Right now is the perfect time to fall in love with Saltwater Sun. They’re currently at the early stages of a renaissance of sorts, having arrived into 2019 with ‘Blood’ a fiery display of magnificent indie rock, swooping down in the fiercest of fashion, now moving on to the uplifting charm of ‘The Great Deceiver’. Frontwoman Jen Stearnes explains, how the track is a throwback to her previous anxieties when it came to singing, acting as a pep talk to both herself and fans, providing that level of courage when needed the most. The charm and encouragement pours out of Stearnes vocals, while Joel Neale and Dan Kingham ride in on waves of summery guitar riffs, light and refreshing, welcoming in the rejuvenating air of Spring with this joyous slice of indie pop.
