Scandi-Kraut-punk rockers FEWS are back, with news of an EP, a new single and their own record label to get the excitement flowing.
It’s been just over a year since FEWS delivered their outstanding second LP “Into Red”, (scoring our #3 album of the year and #1 single for ‘More Than Ever’), now moving forwards with their upcoming “DOG E.P.” and lead single ‘Heaven’, both being released on their newly founded Hello Dog label. Speaking about the track, frontman Fred Rundqvist, explains – “the track is a representation of a low down feeling of emptiness that can only be picked up by the help of something dangerous”, further adding that ‘Heaven’ “continues where ‘Anything Else’ signed-off”.
With an instantaneous rush of guitars from the get-go from newest member Jacob Olsen, ‘Heaven’ snaps FEWS straight back into the realm of whirling punk vortexes, all while the world is falling around them into pure despair and chaos. A primal scream of sorts emerges from Rundqvist, stating ‘heaven is for lonely people’, depicting divine intervention in the eyes of dangerous self-uncertainty, for those craving escape in whatever shape or form may come to greet them.
FEWS “DOG E.P.” is out July 3rd through their own Hello Dog label.
