London group Stats is back already with the follow up to their 2019 debut “Other People’s Problems’, with the energetic ‘Naturalise Me’.
Taken from their upcoming LP “Powys 1999”, Stats deliver a thumping, electro-fuelled take on ‘nostalgic futurism’; blasting out harsh synth cuts, melded together with house infused techno, crafting wall trembling bass. Speaking on the upcoming record, vocalist Ed Seed clarifies that “Powys'” ‘is not nostalgic, it’s about the past but, also the future ‘, referencing feeling ‘unnatural’ growing up in the Welsh countryside, while later realising how specifically crafted the ‘natural’ facade of the countryside really is.
Their sophomore LP “Powys 1999” is due to be release November 13th.
