Berlin artist Mulay dares to set her own rules on dark new single ‘ANTRACYTE’.
The title track and opener for Mulay’s upcoming EP, ‘ANTRACYTE’ focuses upon difficult decisions in life, balancing personal growth with questionable choices; set to luxurious R’n’B style rhythms that encompass the mysteries of the night. Speaking about the track, Mulay explains:
“ANTRACYTE tells a story of contradicting emotions, a story of love, lust, pain and a longing for more. It’s about facing your own darkness and sins, about self-revelation, emancipation and about paying its price, resigning to your fate.”
Directed by Felix Aaron, ‘ANTRACYTE’s video shows Mulay’s desire of pushing societal boundaries as the heavy cross to bear, standing boldly in red, among a circle of men who give her the torch to bring about her own demise. Whether you see this as succumbing to pressure or deciding her own fate, Mulay displays a brazen attitude on ‘ANTRACYTE’ that is simply fascinating.
Mulay’s “ANTRACYTE” EP is set to be released January 29th through Groenland Records.
