Xiu Xiu’s get weird AF on ‘Rumpus Room’, the latest track from their massive upcoming collaborative album “OH NO”.
Featuring Angus Andrew of Liars and directed by member Angela Seo, who also directed the video for their previous single ‘A Bottle of Rum’, ‘Rumpus Room’ is the second part of Xiu Xiu’s video series for their upcoming LP. Blasting DIY garage rock that’s bent out of shape, amalgamating with Andrew’s electronica into a distorted, trippy take on slacker/noise-rock, ‘Rumpus Room’ sounds like the most deranged afters ever, especially when you realise that Seo knocks out fellow member Jamie Stewart for eating her flaming hot Cheetos.
“OH NO” features collaborations with a wide plethora of artists including Sharon Van Etten, Chelsea Wolfe, Alice Bag, Haley Fohr of Circuit des Yeux, Owen Pallett and Twin Shadow, along with members of Deerhoof, Drab Majesty, Shearwater and is out on March 26th.
