Enny shares her love of London while tackling its greyer moments on ‘Same Old’.
Following on from the success of her previous single ‘Peng Black Girls’, released back in October, ‘Same Old’ sees the South Londoner continue to shine some brightness over London’s grey skies.
While discussing ongoing issues such as Brexit and the gentrification of London are heavy topics on paper, ‘Same Old’ vibes out to a slick backing of gospel tone hums and ’90s styled R’n’B that is impossible to listen to idly. Helping to alleviate the doom-mongering clouds that currently linger over the UK, Enny reminds us all to look past the grey moments and embrace our inner joy.
Speaking on the new track, Enny said: “There are so many beautiful moments and feelings attached to this track from the moment it was created and I hope that anyone that listens to it is able to experience that energy when they hear it”.
Following its release, Enny performed ‘Same Old’ live on Later… with Jools Holland, last Friday, which you can view below.
