Broken Bricks – Tapestry

Essex’s Broken Bricks share their latest track ‘Tapestry’, taken from their upcoming debut album.

Influenced by the likes of The xx, Maribou State and Bonobo, there’s a love of electronica that runs deep through Broken Brick’s sound, gently caressed by contemporary indie styles. On ‘Tapestry’, the group divert from the heavier sound of their previous track‘NASA’, appearing to take notes from all of their influences and piece them together into one track. The sharp, rolling riffs of The xx are pieced together with the scattered, shimmering synths of Maribou State, topped by house-influenced electronica, akin to Bonobo, creating a track that ascends as a successful fusion of some of the last decades biggest tastemakers.

Broken Brick’s debut album “A Perfect View to Run”, is expected for release later this year.
