Arriving October 15th on Brace Yourself Records, the band say that the EP balances serious and important messages with a playful dose of wit and humour, as seen throughout their previous releases such as ‘Girl’ and ‘Never Out Of Luck’‘Golden’ follows suit, criticising those in positions of power who oppress others to feed their own greed. “We wrote ‘Golden’ about the government and other big powerful organizations ruling the show and getting richer from each other, whilst literally destroying the world.” shares Grandmas House.

Filled with the raspy sneers of Yasmin Berndt’s vocals and her raucous guitar riffs, Poppy Dodgson’s violent drumming combined with Zoë Zinsmeister’s thumping bass hooks makes for another stellar display of Grandmas House surf-punk melodies. With its fully charged running time of just over two minutes, ‘Golden’, is as short and concise as ever for the Bristol trio, and demonstrably shows them at their best.
