Moving on from debut single Bad Blood and follow up Black + White, Only One takes the next step towards Violent Femmes’ Good Feeling territory, by balancing out the modern synth tones with the nostalgia of a 1980’s prom, slow guitar ballad. In perfect fashion for a love ballad, Only One provides a near four minutes, of instrumentation solos, vocal rises and sweet to the touch high notes.
